Sustainability
The WEA and the DAIN Project are firmly committed to sustainability, and sustainaiblity forms an essential cross cutting theme for all Innovation Transnational and Mainstreaming projects such as DAIN.
Everyone involved in the DAIN project is encourgaged to consider sustainability within their practice, from everyday choices around transport, to selection of suppliers and beyond.
The WEA was recently funded by LSIS to run a small sustainability project to develop and deliver training, resources, activities and collate good practice in sustainability relevant to ACL providers.

Information on other projects funded through LSIS and some of the resources they produced can be found below.
Through the Stepping Up in Sustainability (SuS) and Cut the Carbon (CCF) programmes, LSIS has provided grants to support 27 projects which aim to develop, embed and disseminate effective approaches to sustainable development and carbon reduction.
March 2011 saw the completion of all 27 projects. Each of the projects has developed a case study and, in many cases, resources and tools, which are now being shared across the sector for other providers to access, adopt, adapt and learn from, free of charge.
Below you can find brief details of each of the projects, with links to pages showcasing their case study and any associated resources that have been developed by or collated by the providers concerned. Please feel free to download, use and adapt these resources – while acknowledging the authors – and to contact and engage with the providers concerned to find out more.
